Hot Glue is the New Duct Tape
I Design and Build Dimensional Art & Collage in Hot Glue
The last thing I should do is risk showing any potential employer my crappy paintings. Yes I paint ... at least that's what I call it.
On the other hand, I am definitely an all weather, all terrain artist. Rain or shine I can be found squirreled away someplace building something or writing something or drawing up something on the laptop. All the time. Won't let me rest. EVER!
It all started at Trendmasters, the old toy company, where I was designing and doing work also in their prototype shop. We were "doing dinosaurs" when Jurassic Park came out. We had tons of dino research sitting around. Dinosaurs books, with fossils! We were also doing Halloween for that year. Someone was mocking up a pumpkin bowl with hot glue. Across the room a book was open to a particularly gnarly fossil. Thus, a star was born. I went home and began making fossils out of hot glue.
I don't really show. I paint because I have to. Its an art thing. Currently, I am doing freehand glue works of figures and busts. Always wanted to portray the human form. Figure drawing classes never really worked for me so, like everything else I have not succeeded at, I backed off and found a way that I could make the art.
So there you have it. Hot glue.
